  • Best balance of performance and cost
  • Ultralight – just 0.6 oz (17 g)
  • Secure back lock

The Ultralight LST is a classic that’s changed little over the last 35 years. Originally conceived by Peter Gerber, it’s a small knife with big history that’s a great balance of performance and cost. An EDC for many over the years, it’s a perfect choice for everyday tasks. And just 0.6 oz (17 g) makes it ideal for backpacking.

The blade is made from 420HC stainless steel (56-58 HRC) that’s corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It’s a drop-point, hollow ground blade with a plain edge grind.

Opening and closing action is smooth and secure, but does require two hands. And the blade lock on the back of the handle is depressed with your thumb to close.

The lightweight fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle has a front-half diamond pattern providing improved grip. It has a lanyard hole on the end of the handle, but no pocket clip.
